The WMO Fellowship Programme
(http://www.wmo.int/pages/prog/dra/etrp/fellowships.php) is designed to assist WMO Members in least developed and developing countries, small island developing states and land-locked developing countries meet some of the education and training needs of their staff.
WMO is pleased to partner with the China Scholarship Council, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (China), the University of Hannover (Germany), Kyoto University (Japan), Ewha Womans University (Korea),the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the University of Reading, the United States National Weather Service and the Russian Federation to advise you of the following fellowship opportunities in 2013 (Section A).
In all cases to be considered for a WMO fellowship the applicants must meet the academic and language requirements of the host institution / country. For China and Russia, candidates who meet the academic requirements but are not selected for a WMO fellowship may be offered a fellowship from the Russian and Chinese governments. The financial support from the non-WMO fellowships is usually less than for the WMO fellowships but will allow your fellows to complete their studies.
