Digital Earth is a global initiative to construct a comprehensive virtual representation of the planet. It is a collaborative effort between Earth sciences, space sciences and information sciences to monitor and forecast natural and human phenomena. The International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE) is a non-political, non-governmental and not-for-profit international organisation, principally for promoting academic exchange, science and technology innovation, education, and international collaboration towards Digital Earth.
This is the official blog of The International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE). The aim of this blog is to provide a dynamic online news platform, related to the Digital Earth initiative as presented above, keep track on the latest advances in the field and inform anyone interested to the Digital Earth vision.
This site has been initiated in 2012 and is managed by the editor, who posts content on a regular basis, supported by the ISDE secretariat. However, we strongly encourage other contributors to participate in this blog by posting news or commenting on existing ones. The editorial team reserves the right to moderate posts or remove comments of offensive nature or inappropriate content.
The content of posts or the opinions expressed in this blog, do not necessarily represent those of the ISDE.
